IIT Delhi Alumni Association (IITDAA) organized a “Global Village Conclave – ग्रामोदय 2022” (Gramodaya) in association with the Centre for Rural Development & Technology (CRDT) and CSIR – National Institute of Science Communication & Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR), New Delhi.
The event was a part of the National Initiative, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan which is aimed at identifying development challenges and evolving appropriate solutions for accelerating sustainable growth in rural areas. The theme of this event is “Redefining the Paradigm of Development”.
The sessions were organized on January 24th (Mon) and 25th (Tues) to address 5 identified areas – Rural Energy, Water Resources, Livelihood, Waste Management, and Environment. The event will be held in webinar mode and webcast through various online platforms.
Out of 117 applications, FriendsCampus was selected as the Top 5 in the category Livelihood to present in front of the jury members.
Mr Kalpen Shukla President of IITDAA inaugurated the session at 11 am on 24th Jan 2022 in the presence of Dr Lalit Pande Padma Shri, DA Awardee, Director, UEEC, and other members of IITDAA along with the moderators.
It was an honour to showcase the work we are doing at FriendsCampus in front of the jury members consisting of Ritu (Goswami) Kataky (University of Durhan, UK), Ms Jyotsana Chugh (EC Member, IITDAA), Mr Atul Bal (Past Present, IITDAA), and moderator Mr Pankaj Kumar Kapadia. The feedback and suggestion given by the jury members were very helpful.
We believe that FriendsCampus has the potential to impact the livelihood of millions of students. India is home to 300+ million students and education is going to play a major role in shaping the future of our country.
